Bloom Charleston welcomes residents and visitors alike to experience the unveiling of the Idea Garden at Colonial Lake, inspiring talks from a slate of internationally renowned speakers, immersive horticultural experiences, and lively programming designed to inspire gardeners through beautiful public gardens and parks.

If you are interested in a more intimate experience, join us for our Opening Night Garden Party on Friday, October 17 where we will toast the opening of the idea garden, hear remarks from designer Molly Hendry, mingle with our guest speakers, view a floral arranging demonstration by star British designer Lucy the Flower Hunter and much more. Mark your calendars for June 2 at 10:00 am to purchase tickets.

On Saturday, October 18, 2025, the festival and gardens are open to the public. Highlights include:

  • The grand unveiling of the Charleston Parks Conservancy’s Idea Garden at Colonial Lake

  • Presentations and demonstrations from internationally renowned garden designers and influencers

  • Docent-led garden inspiration stations where you can learn all about how to recreate these beautiful spaces

  • Plants from Your Parks Plant Sale, inspired by the Idea Garden and other iconic Charleston parks

  • Buxton Book Garden Book Store, featuring author signings and book selections from our panel of speakers

  • Live music, art demonstrations, pop-up workshops and family friendly activities in the garden throughout this exciting day
