Bloom Charleston is where Charleston’s historic charm, natural beauty and rich history of horticultural innovations converge to create a vibrant celebration of public parks and gardens. Born out of the vision and dedication of the Charleston Parks Conservancy, Bloom Charleston seeks to inspire and empower our community by showcasing the transformative power of thoughtful garden design, innovative sustainability practices, and meaningful collaboration.
Since 2007, the Charleston Parks Conservancy has been at the forefront of enhancing Charleston’s public spaces, raising and investing $28 million in the process. Our impact includes maintaining 26 public park spaces, hosting 10,000 attendees annually at free community events, and donating 16 tons of organic produce from community gardens in our public parks.
Bloom Charleston is our next bold step—an annual celebration that combines horticultural excellence, cultural enrichment, and environmental stewardship to create a world-class experience. From the unveiling of the groundbreaking Idea Garden at Colonial Lake to live demos, educational programs, and idea garden inspiration stations, Bloom Charleston transforms public parks into living art that inspires and empowers our community and region.
Charleston Parks Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring the people of Charleston to connect with their parks and create stunning public places and a strong community. Since 2007, the Conservancy has partnered with the City of Charleston to create and sustain parks, gardens, and trails.
